Marriage License Requirements - St. Kitts & Nevis
Planning a destination wedding to St. Kitts and Nevis? St. Kitts is an intoxicating blend of sunlight, sea, air and fantastically abundant vegetation. At the center stands the spectacular, cloud-fringed peak of Mount Liamuiga , a dormant volcano covered by a dense tropical forest.
St. Kitts Marriage License Laws:
- Passport required by all citizens except for US and Canadian citizens who can provide a birth certificate or certificate of citizenship with a photo ID.
- Return or onward ticket is required by all visitors.
- Some citizens require Visa's.
St. Kitts Marriage License Fee:
$80 US for a marriage license; if parties have been residing in the country for at least 15 days the cost is $20 US
There are charges that need to be paid to the notary public and marriage officer which vary from person to person.
Identification Needed for St. Kitts Marriage License:
- Valid Passports or birth certificates and state issued photo ID
- Divorced individuals must present a decree absolute
- Death certificate if applicable

Good to know....
- Couples must be in the country for two full working days (M-F) before the ceremony
- Need special form from Legal Department signed by the Justice of Peace
